Invitation to Participate
Dear AMLI membership,
The Association of Medical Laboratory Immunologists (AMLI) is pleased to announce an excellent opportunity for members to actively participate in the organization’s activities and develop their professional and leadership skills. AMLI is currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers for the following positions:
- Chair of the Abstract Review Committee for 2026 and 2027
- Five to seven members for the Abstract Review Committee for 2026 and 2027
Previous participation in AMLI abstract reviews does not disqualify applicants. We encourage all interested members to consider this opportunity.
Chair of the Abstract Review Committee: Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the work of the Abstract Review Committee members
- Provide training for abstract reviewers
- Oversee the timely completion of abstract reviews and ensure submitters are notified promptly
- Serve as the administrator for the online abstract submission portal
- Manage acceptance and rejection communications through the portal
- Lead the decision-making process for Abstract Awards
- Communicate with AMLI leadership
- Serve as a liaison to the Journal of Immunological Methods for abstract publication
- Fulfill all responsibilities expected of Abstract Review Committee members
Abstract Review Committee Member: Roles and Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled meetings for abstract reviewers
- Review up to 30 abstracts according to specified criteria and enter scores into the online abstract submission portal
- Participate in decision-making for Abstract Awards
Selection Process
The AMLI President and President-Elect will appoint the Chair from the pool of volunteers who apply. If the number of candidates for committee membership exceeds the required number, the appointed Chair will select the members of the Abstract Review Committee.
Abstract reviews are expected to be conducted between May 15th and June 15th in 2026 and 2027.
